I came to United States from Pakistan in 2002. I came as an international student and went to University of Houston where I completed my undergraduate in Computer Science. Immediately, after completing my studies I was hired full time by the University where I worked as a software developer.

During my stay with the University I helped to create the quiz and exam taking platform which was used by thousands of students each semester to perform their testing. I also worked solo on an AP Calculus website which allowed the students from all over the United States to practice pre calculus exams.

After 2 years working at the University I left and joined a consulting form. It was this time I became heavily involved in Microsoft community. I helped thousands of people online to find them solutions. All of this was did not went unnoticed and Microsoft awarded me with MVP award.

I kept sharing my knowledge in the form of YouTube videos. I can still remember an email I received from an Autistic kid who thanked me for creating game development videos, which helped him prepare his new game. I still maintain and update my YouTube channel and spread education to anyone and everyone who is willing to learn.

I wrote articles for magazines, I spoke at conferences. I continue learning and spreading the gift of education. Even to this day I teach, actually now I teach a physical class and I strongly believe that teaching is the best and most noble job in the world.

In 2011–2012 I became a US citizen. It was one of the most life changing days of my life. I attending the ceremony and took oath to protect this beautiful country. During the oath ceremony I could see the flash backs of all the hardships I had to overcome.

To some people what I did and achieved might seems a lot but the truth is that it is just a drop of water on the windshield. The main reason American is great is because of immigrants. Immigrants came from all over the world and worked extremely hard to create opportunities for the rest of us.

Take a look at Steve Jobs from Apple, Elon Musk from Tesla and CEO’s of Google and Microsoft. All of them have worked tremendously hard to create countless opportunities. They have created the framework, components and toys that we enjoy every single day.

The ban on immigration is not only unconstitutional but it is also ban on innovation.

Even though in these darkest hours of American history, I see a hope of light in the form of American people who have stepped forward to fight for justice.

Thank you everyone,
